The artist is a member of the Artist's Union of Armenia and the International Association of Art of UNESCO. He is a honorary member of the Union of Russian Artists. In 1975 he graduated from the painting faculty of the P. Terlemezyan Yerevan State College of Fine Arts.
In 1978-1981 he was an irregular student at the I. Repin Leningrad Academy of Arts. The geography of exhibitions is Armenia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia and France. He is an active participant of the symposium of plein-air painting. His works are characterized by warmth and light, sunny palette and fantastic game of strokes creating unique stories. Most of them are purchased by museums and private collectors of Armenia, Baltic States, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, USA and France.
