January, 2019
The video "Volgograd in V. Losev's pictures" created by pupils of school "Generation" became the winner of the city competition "I love Volgograd!".
The internal stage of the city competition "I love Volgograd!" was completed on 15 January. It was attended by pupils of 7-11 classes who are interested in the city history, the English language and participating in social projects.

Pupils of the school "Generation" presented the completed project "three-in-one" in English on a competition. They showed the historic center of Volgograd through a prism of etudes of the artist Victor Losev, created in the plein-air in 1942-1995. They demonstrated knowledge and skills received during the work as volunteers at the festival "Excuse me, have you seen Mr.Losev?".
The video won in the nomination of "Visiting card of the district".

Project team: Timur Furman, Angelina Zeynalova, Lev Suyazov, Kristina Karapetyan, Rinat Sabirov, Igor Gatsenko, Dmitriy Egorov.
Their mentors, teachers of the school "Generation": tutor Alina Matveeva, art teacher Sophia Timofeeva and head of the department of foreign languages Lyudmila Volga.

"We learned about the artist from teachers," the eighth-grader Timur Furman comments on a victory of the team of school "Generation". "We were carried away by the story of Victor Losev who considered that people don't need the military parades, marches and fireworks, but they need peaceful cities with children, flowers, beautiful architecture, parks, good deeds. We rediscovered our wonderful and sunny city when studying works of the artist."

"The idea to show the Central district in an unusual way was prompted by art teacher Sofia Timofeeva," Lyudmila Volga comments. "She also introduced us ideas of the festival "Excuse me, have you seen Mr.Losev?". The tutor of school Alina Matveeva is a professional guide. She helped with the search for interesting historical facts. Children wrote texts, translated them into English and created a video excursion."
"We liked the result," Lyudmila Volga continues. "We are glad that we made a contribution to creation of new excursion routes of Volgograd."
